Cold Aisle and Hot Aisle Setup:
In a data center, servers and IT equipment generate heat as they operate. Cold air is supplied to the front of the IT racks, where the servers draw in the cool air for cooling. The warm air is then expelled from the back of the racks, creating a hot aisle behind the racks.
Implementing Cold Aisle Containment:
Cold aisle containment involves enclosing the cold aisles (the front side of the racks) with physical barriers such as doors, walls, or plastic curtains. This containment prevents the cold air from escaping into the surrounding environment and mixing with the hot air.

Hot aisle containment can further enhance cooling efficiency by preventing the hot air from recirculating and mixing with the cold supply air.
